A Little Background...

When I was growing up, I took for granted that most people had mothers who could cook as well as mine.  I learned a lot different as I grew older and gained a great appreciation for my mom and her amazing cooking skills.  When I was in elementary school, Mom started making home made sour dough bread that I watched her make with a watering mouth.  By the time I was in middle school, Mom started giving loaves of her delicious bread to our teachers as Christmas and Teacher Appreciation Day gifts.  Our teachers enjoyed it enough, that Mom started selling it, both as loaves of bread or in dozens of rolls.  She became famous around our little town for her "Brew Bread" and her amazing cakes and pies.  My beautiful, amazing mother passed away in December of 2010, and my family and I thought that with her, Brew Bread was also gone.  Around Thanksgiving 2011, our family found a friend who had the starter used to make  her very enticing bread and rolls.  I have begun making Mom's famous bread for many of my family and friends with great success and I'm trying to step into her shoes by selling Brew Bread, rolls, and many of her delectable cakes.  I'm excited to share with scrumptious food with you!
